Five For Friday!

fiveforfriday2
So glad Five For Friday is back! I'm even more glad I got to meet some wonderful blogging buddies this week!
On Monday, I met Gina from Beach Sand & Lesson Plans, Michele from Coffee Cups & Lesson Plans, and Natalie from Being the Queen Bee Isn't Easy at Planet Hollywood in Orlando for lunch. It was so great to meet these wonderful and beautiful ladies and their children in real life! It's amazing how friendships form from this blogging world-I'm so thankful to all the wonderful people I've "met" who inspire me to be a better teacher. I loved how easy the conversation was between us, like we've been friends for years! I hope for a future meet up--SOON!

Michele, Gina, Natalie, and me (Joanne)
Last night I got to meet up with Jess from I Heart Recess again! We met for dinner and talked for over 4 hours! Oops! This time we met without children, so you know how teachers are when they get talking!
We exchanged goodie bags (not planned, just because!). Check out all the high heel stuff and all the bright colored supplies!
Guess what Jess made me??!! Isn't it just fabulous? She customized this hand sanitizer for me with her Cricut! I love it!
Remember a couple of weeks ago I pinned a website with inexpensive necklaces? I placed my order and they came this week! I am super happy with this purchase! I love big necklaces on a teacher budget! Did you notice I was wearing two of the necklaces in the pictures above?

Next up is a staple tip for those teachers who are a little OCD about their bulletin boards like me! I hate those shiny staples showing on dark border or paper, so I color them before I staple! :O)
Please excuse the junk drawer!

See? You can't even see that shiny staple!

I also made two new products!
I made a Reading Response Menu for Non-Fiction text too! It's a great resource to add to your curriculum and gives your students choice. An easy way to assess their understanding and learning. My students love using my menus and I love reading their responses and thinking!
I have also bundled my Fiction and Non-Fiction Menus for additional savings.
After blogging about my getting to know you beach ball, I decided to make a resource with all the different beach ball ideas I use in my classroom. Check it out here!

Let's give a few away! Pin one or both to win! After pinning, paste the URL in the comments for a chance to win! Good luck!

***There will NOT be a Spark Student Motivation tomorrow due to the big blogger back to school gift exchange. I hope to see you next week!
I hope you had a great week! Teachers start back to school next week in my district!

  1. That staple trick is making me laugh. At first I thought - I can't believe she thought of that and now I am thinking - I'm totalling doing that too. I also laughed that there is no linky tomorrow - as that is the only blog post I have managed to get organized since Tuesday :)
Hope everything is going well in your classroom set-up - can't wait (but will have to I guess) see pictures!
