Happy
Saturday! It’s time to motivate each other and our upcoming students!
We’re going to try to make it home tonight from New York. Yes, we’re driving…I’m not a fan of flying, but after this looooong trip, next time...we’ll fly. We only made it to Delaware last night after visiting Six Flags in New Jersey-the weather was awful!
I wanted to share a quick, simple idea to share while I'm on the road.
I know
our brains never rest during “summer” because we’re thinking of all the things
we want/need to do with our upcoming school year. That’s what I love about this
linky party…we get so many ideas
from each other to get motivated! What have you found while shopping or thought
of doing differently in your class to get your students excited?
Well,
I think I’m going to give my students a “slap on the wrist”!
(not
literally) :O)
I found these slap wrist bracelets at Hobby Lobby last week on clearance and knew I could use them to get my students motivated.
Here
are some samples I made:
There
are so many possibilities for these bracelets. My son snatched the Math Whiz bracelet right off the table! He is modeling the Math Whiz
bracelet below (because he is one!). He said mom, "Everybody love these bracelets!" And the best part of these slap wrist bracelets? They're foam, so they don't hurt.
I will also leave some blank for special occasions.
I will also leave some blank for special occasions.
Of
course, while I was working on these bracelets, my daughter wanted me to make
her one too! Which is the perfect testimonial... these bracelets can be motivating at
school or home!
You
know your students would be thrilled if you walked by and slapped one of these
on their wrists!
Link up any idea that
motivates you or your students-if it motivates you, it motivates them! No idea
is too small or too big! :O)
** Don't forget to grab
my button and this post when you link up. While we're here, let's share some blog love and "motivate" each other by following/commenting at least one person's post! :O) I can't wait to read everyone's ideas!
Thanks for reading, commenting or linking up! (Next link up for summer is July 27th).
Make sure you come back to check out the other amazing bloggers that link up later!

These look super cool. :) I'll check out our Hobby Lobby and see what I can find.

This is a cute idea. I remember slap bracelets from when I was a kid (but they were made of a hard material back then!) How sweet that your kids both wanted one!

I love the slap bracelets! I saw some too but my brain was just not as quick as yours and I did not pick them up (yet!!). I hope you had a safe drive home - have fun with all the laundry when you get back!! I am sorry the weather was not so good for you guys at Six Flags - that is a bummer!!
