New Year Blogging Resolutions & Upcoming Giveaway

My friend Diane from Fifth in the Middle is hosting a New Year's Blogging Resolution linky party and I thought I'd link up...(maybe if I put it in writing I'll be held more accountable!).
~Set aside time to blog, so it doesn’t become so stressful:
Ever since I started blogging I've wanted to make a set schedule, but it has yet to happen. I want to be more organized with my post ideas and start my posts in advance. 99% of my posts are typed at the last minute. I'd love to have at least one post done so I can "schedule" it to post, then it wouldn't seem so stressful and rushed. I also would like to be a little quicker when posting...does it take anyone else hours to post? Please tell me I'm not alone! Links, pictures, html, labeling pictures, proofing, rereading 20 times! If I have an allotted time or time limit, it will just have to get done! I HAVE to find a better balance so I don't drive myself crazy!

~Be a better reader and commenter of my favorite blogs:
I am fortunate to have met so many wonderful teachers who blog and because of my hectic schedule, I KNOW I am missing out on so many great ideas and tips! Along with my "set blogging time", I want to set aside time just to enjoy other posts and leave comments that appreciate their ideas. I KNOW I love comments, so I want to share the love!

~Get with the times and join Instagram!
I know this won't happen in the next few days, but I'm hoping by the end of the month! (Someone please come back and make sure I've followed through with this resolution!) Even my high school son uses Instagram! I just have to get a handle on everything else before I can even think of adding one more thing to my plate! I haven't even been on it because I know it will be another addiction! :)

  2. It takes me a long time to do a post too - and I always worry that no one will care what I say so then I don't do it at all. Maybe I have self-esteem issues. :)

  3. Instagram has been a hard one for me, too. Partially because I don't usually share a bunch of personal things. Hmm...

  4. I don't use Instagram either, not even in my personal life. I'm a terrible picture-taker! Also... I made it one of my goals to schedule posts more often because I, too, am usually doing everything at the last minute. I'm really good at reading blogs, but I'm not always good about posting myself. We can work on this one together!

  5. I have an Instagram account but don't really post pictures. I'm trying to get away from using my cell phone to take pictures since I bought myself a new camera for Christmas.

  6. I have the same problem. I often read and mean to comment but either forget to or can't because I'm on my phone. Well I have no more excuses since I'm commenting now on my NEW phone! So glad I found a solution to that. :) Erin

  7. Great resolutions!
I hope you can achieve them!

  8. I am always a last minute blogger, link writing my Tried It Tuesday on Tuesday at 8:00 after the baby is in bed! I need to get posts scheduled myself! And, yes, it takes me FOREVER to write a post! I'm so glad I'm not the only one!

    Keep Calm and Hoot On

  9. My New Years Resolution is to find balance between work and home! Not sure how I'm going to do this exactly, but I'm working on it!

  10. I love Instagram and would love to see you over there!! It's a lot of fun!!
