Currently April

It's April! Linking up with Farley for this month's Currently!

Listening: Don't you notice when you're working on 18 projects at once your kids want to play tag in the house?

Loving: I have 25 fourth grade darlings! I have such a great class family! I enjoy going to work everyday...even the Monday after Spring Break! (Even though I got barely anything crossed off my to do list!)

Thinking: I'm starting a new linky party this Saturday... Spark Student Motivation Saturdays! We will share our magic tricks to motivate our students for behavior, academics, Reading Counts, participation, homework, etc. I hope this will be a successful linky to share ideas to motivate our students and each other! Come join the fun!

Wanting: I posted this last month too and I didn't get my wish, so I'll try again...I need more time! Where can we buy it? Someone could be rich!!!

Needing: A life preserver to save me from drowning in all these lists! Does anyone else ever say..."Once I get this done, I'll have more time."??!! I say it all the time, but there's always something else waiting!

Advice: I am so thankful to have the support of some amazing bloggers in my little bloggy life! I'd like to give a shout out to Jivey (whose font I used on my Currently poster :O)), Amanda & Stacia, Holly, AMC, Christy, Diane, Jackie & Danielle. These girls always support me with encouraging words and comments on my blog. I appreciate you! It's so nice to have people who genuinely want to help you!

  2. Hi there! I am loving everything about your blog! It looks fantastic! I had to laugh about what you're listening to. My kids have been angels all day until I sat down at the computer to start working on some projects. Then they were running around screaming like a bunch of crazies! LOL! Totally following your blog now!

  4. A few years ago I stopped making to-do lists and began making TA-DA! lists! To-do lists put a sense of pressure and inspire a sense of inadequacy if you don't get it all done. This is not good for anyone! :( A "TA-DA! List" is an outline of what you hope to accomplish over ANY period of time (I star important or write a deadline time for timely matters) and when you accomplish the task you yell TA-DA! It sounds silly, but it really works for me. As a single mom, it's all on me and I put ALOT of pressure on myself and feel very inadequate at how much is left at the end of the day. Changing from a forced list of must do items to a guide of things I'd like to accomplish over an undisclosed amount of time took some of the pressure off. The list is ever changing because I add items all the time, but it's also rewarding to get done with any item, but it just sprinkles a touch of fun when I get to exclaim, "TA-DA!" :) My kids (home and school) love it too! :)

  5. I have become very good at tuning out children running around the house, slamming doors and things falling over! Looking forward to your linky on Saturday - wish someone could spark teacher motivation for me - I did not mark a thing on my 4 day weekend. Thanks for the shout-out, right back at you!
