Tried It Tuesday: Best Part of My Mom

Linking up with the sweetie Holly for Tried It Tuesday!
I'm actually posting about an idea I got from my good friend  AMC from Looking From Third to Fourth!

I've been using The Best Part of Me book for years at the beginning of the year to make a class book and build community, but she had a great idea to use it for Mother's Day! My students wrote about what they felt was the best part of their mothers and will share them this Friday at our Mother's Tea. Here are some student samples:

We will definitely need tissues!!! Thanks again AMC for sharing and Holly for hosting a great party!

  3. Thanks so much for the sweet shout-out! Your class did a fabulous job. The moms will be crying for sure - I was crying when I read my daughter's to me (best thing - my hands!!). She is a good little writer but it was really touching to see what I do that means the most to her - rubbing her back when she is sick, rubbing in sunscreen - so sweet! Make sure you have extra tissue at the tea!!

  5. I saw this book a couple of weeks ago and put it in my Amazon cart. I think I am going to actually have to purchase it. Your students' mothers are going to love these!

  6. Oh my gosh!!!!! Wow!! How sweet are these? I don't know these kids or their moms but I'm crying over them! How sweet!! What a neat idea! I wish one of my kids' teachers would do that because I would be interested to see what they would write about me!
